Radhe Shyam is a period romance that has been written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. The story of the film is set in the Europe of the 1970s and it has been simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. Radhe Shyam has been produced under the banners of T-Series and UV Creations and the Hindi version is distributed by AA Films.
It stars Pooja Hegde as Prerana, Prabhas as Vikramaditya and Krishnam Raju as Paramahamsa alongside Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Bhagyashree, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Priyadarshi, Sasha Chettri and Sathyan Sivakumar as supporting characters.Radhe Shyam Release Date & Trailer
Actor Prabhas took to Instagram to share a new poster of his upcoming film ‘Radhe Shyam’ while announcing the second trailer's release date of the film on March 2 at 3 PM. The new poster depicts Prabhas running through rain and thunderstorms against a backdrop that appears to have been blown up by a bomb or an attack, leaving everything in shambles.
The film is set to be released in theatres on March 11, 2022. ‘Radhe Shyam’ is one of the films that audiences have been anticipating for a long time. Prabhas and actress Pooja Hegde, who will be seen sharing screen space in the film, are in talks for their sizzling chemistry in the film
Whilst we may not know the exact narrative of the movie, that hasn’t stopped expecting fans from getting extremely excited for the upcoming film.
At the time of writing, the official trailer has been viewed more than 49 million times on the T-Series YouTube channel, with the ‘Aashiqui Aa Gayi’ song sitting at an incredible 89 million views!
In particular, fans are excited for some high-quality set pieces and cinematography, with production having a significant budget of Rs 350 Crore (around $46.7 million).
Principal filming started in October 2018, with the production team jetting off to Hyderabad, Georgia, and Italy before wrapping up in July 2021.
Interestingly, the movie was originally produced in both Telugu and Hindi languages simultaneously, with later confirmation that it will premiere in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages as well.
The improvements in cinematography and CG animation can be seen in the most-recent trailer for Radhe Shyam. Uploaded to the T-Series YouTube channel on March 2nd, the trailer already has almost half a million views in less than an hour!
Radhe Shyam was originally scheduled to release in theatres in late-July 2021, but like so many cinema projects from around the world, had to be delayed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Fellow lead actor Prabhas would then take to social media to share the official promotional poster for Radhe Shyam, confirming that a new release date had been set for January 14th, 2022 – coining with the Sankranthi festival.
Unfortunately, on December 5th, 2021, it was then confirmed that the targeted release date had been pushed back once again, barring to the surge in Omicron cases.
Pooja Hedge explained on Twitter that “We have to postpone the release of our film #RadheShyam due to the ongoing covid situation.”
Radhe Shyam was supposed to hit the screens on Sankranti, January 14. Due to the rise in Omicron cases in India, many theatres were operating at 50 per cent occupancy, while a few were shut. Hence, the makers decided to postpone the release of Radhe Shyam.

Now that the Covid-19 cases are seeing a gradual decline, filmmakers are now announcing the release dates. On February 2, Prabhas and the makers of Radhe Shyam announced the release date with a special poster. Sharing the poster, Prabhas wrote, "11.03.22. I'll see you. #RadheShyamOnMarch11 (sic)."
"Witness the biggest war between love and destiny. 11.03.2022 worldwide in theatres (sic)," was written on the poster featuring a ship stuck in a storm.
